About The Business

Collision Repair Specialists is proud to have a reputation for knowledge and integrity among both customers and insurance companies. We have earned the highest I-CAR recognition for training a business can earn in the collision industry - Gold Class Professionals. This means that we are dedicated to providing our customers with efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective repairs, and that we work to continually update our knowledge of the collision repair process.

About The Owner

The I-CAR research and training organization is the ‘gold standard’ in auto collision repair technology. Doug Roach—the founding owner of Collision Repair Specialists—is one of I-CAR’s most productive, long-term, and successful educators. Since the development of unibody (frameless) automobile design in the early 1970s, Dough Roach has been at the forefront of collision repair technology education nation-wide. Since 1974, he has been a consultant to I-CAR in the development of I-CAR training programs. Doug has trained thousands of technicians and insurance appraisers from virtually every state and Canada in how to properly restore damaged vehicles to pre-accident condition.

Doug has been the recipient of multiple awards for his excellence in training. This recognition includes:

  • ASE Master Technician Certification
  • I-CAR Instructor of the Year
  • I-CAR’s ‘Most Students Taught’ award
  • I-CAR’s highest collision repair industry award designation as a ‘Platinum Individual’.

Doug’s industry leadership exemplifies his commitment to deliver—through his highly trained team of technicians—the finest in collision repair services. In addition, Doug Roach offers to owners and employees of other shops an extensive list of training courses.

Some Things to Consider When You Have an Accident

  • Do not drive a damaged vehicle that cannot be operated safely. Call us and we will promptly arrange towing.

  • We work with all insurance companies, and can arrange to have your agent visit our shop to make an assessment of repairs. This can save you the inconvenience of getting the vehicle to a drive-in claims center. Of course, many damaged vehicles cannot be driven, so towing to a shop that has the reputation for high quality repairs is important at the outset. During the repair we maintain communication with your insurance company to ensure that all necessary repairs are authorized and completed.

  • While you can get as many repair estimates as you wish, no law requires you to get more than one. Selecting a shop with the proper equipment and qualifications will ensure that your vehicle is repaired correctly and completely.

  • While your insurance company may recommend one or more shops for your consideration, you have the right to select a shop of your choice. No insurance company can insist on a particular shop to use.
  • As with any estimate, it is possible to have some variation in the details and costs. A lower price may not include all the repairs, and may take additional time to approve change orders. If you are unsure why there are differences, we will be happy to take time to explain all details.

  • Choose a collision repair center that employs I-CAR and ASE certified technicians, and has the specialized equipment needed to restore the dimensional integrity of both unibody and frame-and-panel vehicles (i.e. trucks). Collision Repair Specialists is an I-CAR Gold Class and ASE certified collision repair center. As such, we meet rigid qualifications for technician training and professional business practices.

  • Confirm that the work will be covered by a warranty on the structural and cosmetic elements of the repair. Restoring pre-accident condition means that you shouldn’t have to worry about how the vehicle will look and perform during the remaining years of your ownership.

  • Trust us to work with your insurance company. Our many years of positive working relationships with all insurance companies helps ensure that your vehicle’s repair will progress smoothly and be done without unnecessary delays.

  • Collision Repair Specialists can pre-arrange a rental car for you. We want your normal transportation needs to be interrupted as little as possible while your vehicle is in the shop. Rental car credit is available.

The Repair Process

THE REPAIR SEQUENCE

The key concept in repairing damaged vehicles is “restoring pre-accident condition”. This is what we do here at Collision Repair Specialists. When your prized car or truck leaves our shop, it will be as before the accident—but in some ways even better.

It will be cleaned and detailed, and your anxieties will have been converted to smiles. Here, then, is the process we use to accomplish your vehicle’s restoration to pre-accident condition.

Preparation

  • You will receive a detailed, written estimate. It will be approved by your insurance company. If there is no insurance company involved, you will have a chance to have all of your questions answered before you authorize the repairs.
  • We will arrange a rental vehicle for you, should you select this option.
  • We will give you an accurate, predictable timetable for completing the repair. If there are uncertainties regarding the availability of special parts, you will know what to expect, in advance.

Process

  • We will keep you informed about the progress of your vehicle during the repair process.
  • We use advanced measuring and structural straightening systems—with computerized printouts—to ensure that key dimensions of the vehicle are restored to ensure trouble-free drivability, minimized tire wear, and smooth operation.
  • We prefer to—and whenever possible—use original factory replacement parts to ensure that the fit-and-finish matches the factory original. The fit of doors, panels, and other parts is carefully monitored within our quality control system.
  • High quality DuPont paints—with computerized color matching—will ensure a beautiful and durable finish that matches the original factory appearance of your vehicle. We use DuPont’s new generation of water-born finishes that minimize air pollution while providing beauty and longevity of the finish.

Delivery

  • Your vehicle is washed, vacuumed, quality checked, and is prepared for delivery.
  • We provide a guarantee of satisfaction on the quality and durability of the repairs.
  • We conduct selective after-repair follow-up to ensure that our work meets our customer’s expectations.

Testimonials

what our customers say

First Class Service

“Doug Roach, the owner of Collision Repair Specialists, is an amazing person to work with. Unfortunately, I had to take my 2008 Acura to him twice in one year. The work was immaculate. The parts were ordered the day I dropped my car off. The paint match was perfect, in any light. What was most impressive, was how Doug and his shop manager kept me in the loop every step of the way. When I got my car back (both times), the detail work was unlike any I have ever had done. The interior, exterior, and even the engine was detailed. The car was better than new.

I have sent 2 family members and 3 friends to Collision Repair Specialists, and they have all had the Same experience. First Class Service. ”

office was cleaned and the shop was organized

“Had my Subaru involved in accident. I went to a couple of different shops to get quotes. Most of the shops I went to said that they where the best, but by the looks of their office and shop, I don't see how they could find parts to put a car together.

At Collision Repair Specialists, their office was clean and the shop was organized. The office manager knew what he was talking about when it came to my car.

When I went to go pick my car up, they had it looking like it was off the dealership floor and ready to sell again.

I am really happy with the repairs they did, and refer them to all my family and friends. So if you are looking for a good shop, I would tell you to take it to them because they are truly "Collision Repair Specialists" when it comes to fixing damage vehicles. Thanks C.R.S.

They Really Know What They Are Doing

“Good place to get your car repaired from an accident. These guys really know what they are doing (they even teach classes for people who are trying to get into collision repair), and did a good job on my car when some guy rammed it from behind and bent everything up.

I can't say anything towards price, because the other guy's insurance covered it”

Trustworthy and Expert

“Doug has been repairing cars for a long time, and has the credentials to prove it.

I took one of his I-CAR classes several years ago. I-CAR is an international, not-for-profit training organization that helps those in this field to keep up to date on changes in technology. I wanted to be sure to take my car to a place where I knew that they had the right equipment and technical knowledge.

This quality shop is one that I highly recommend.

Excellent Service & Workmanship

“The professionals at Collision Repair Specialists were great! I have used them twice in the last 2 years, and I have continued to receive excellent service and workmanship.

Doug Roach, the owner, is a very professional, detailed and pleasant man who offers suggestions and gives answers in your time of need. The first time I met Doug I was alone, and being a single woman, sometimes men in the automotive industries try to take advantage of us, but Doug was very pleasantly different and totally respected me as a person in need of his services. That is what made me go back to him again.

John, his office manager, was also great. He was professional and pleasant, and tried to help me to the best of his ability. He sympathized with me in regards to the damage on my vehicle, and how it got there (theft) and I felt as though he could feel my pain.

This time, I was not alone; my man was with me, but they still treated us with the same courtesy and respect. Doug has 23 years of auto body experience and he has several degrees, so anyone who thinks he is uneducated because he owns a "body shop" is terribly mistaken. I hope that I never have to meet with Doug or John again, obviously because I don't want to have damage to my vehicle, but if it did happen, I would take my precious vehicle (Princess) to them. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family. Signed, A very satisfied customer.

P.S. Don't mistake Collision Repair Specialists with Collision Repair CENTER. They are not the same."

The front end of this Tahoe had been completely destroyed.
The fit and finish were factory-perfect after the repair.

This vehicle was crashed into a storefront. After the repair,
it looked like it had just been driven off the dealer lot.
